About the Macrodome Fruiting System
The Macrodome is specifically designed for the fruiting process of most mushrooms you can grow in your home, especially via bag culture. The system comes partially assembled with your Tropic Aire humidifier, check valve filter, and an extra strong Elite 803 air pump.
Above you can see the Macrodome in use growing Shittake Mushrooms
using a wood subsrate bag, also available from Mushbox.
Its main function is to set over any prepared substrates ready for fruiting such as:
Bag Culture: Spawned bags of straw, corn, rye, etc. Just cut off the top of your bag leaving the bottom portion as a buffer between the precious substrate and the surface of your choosing. Place the Macrodome over the top and plug in the air pump. This will not only supply your mushrooms with a sterile environment to grow in but will increase humidity within the chamber. For better results: Point the green filter towards the substrate of choice for higher humidity.
Cakes & Casings : You can also fit many cakes inside of the Macrodome. We only have 6 here! Casings and bulk substrates can be successfully fruited but we recommend purchasing a timer separately to get your pin sets just right!
"The Macrodome is twice as large as the Mycodome
shell and is made from a more durable plastic"
Easy moving and storage!
The new Macrodome from Mushbox.com is also very easy to transport and store.
Its compact design allows for storage in small spaces such as a closet or cabinet. The wheeled base allows for simple movement across a working surface making it easy to use.
